Seasoned Baked Fries


2 Idaho potatoes, peeled and cut into fries 

2 tbsp oil (any kind works)

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp smoky paprika 

1/2 tsp garlic 

1/2 tsp oregano

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a heat kick)

1/2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper



Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Peel and slice potatoes into french fry shapes. Soak in a large bowl of water for at least a half hour. Drain and rinse potatoes, then dry well. Mix oil and spices together and coat potatoes well. Bake on a parchment lined tray for 30 minutes then broil on medium for last 10 minutes
