Vegan Hot Chocolate

I have a severe case of FOMO (fear of missing out). I never want to feel like I'm missing out on life's great pleasures by becoming a plant based vegan. I adopted this lifestyle with the idea that I would do whatever it takes to make myself feel well but also be happy! So when it gets cold out and my kids inevitably ask for hot chocolate on a lazy Sunday morning, I want some too dammit! This recipe is adapted from Everyday Detox. 

 

Vegan Hot Chocolate 

1 cup almond milk (homemade or Califia farms preferred)

2 tsp raw cacao 

2 tsp maple syrup

splash, vanilla 

1 tsp cocoa butter (optional, but so good)

 

Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and whisk all the ingredients over medium high heat, until smooth. Serve immediately.
